Any group can join CIMBA if they can submit:
1. a minimum of 50 female or 20 male mutation carriers with a pathogenic BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutation - more info at: Mutation Classification Guidelines
OR
2. 50 or more female affected or unaffected BRCA1/2 carriers
OR
3. a minimum of 5 males affected with breast or prostate cancer and 15 age-matched (within 5 years) carrier controls
All individuals being submitted must:
(i) be >= 18 years of age at time of baseline interview
(ii) have basic phenotype data available:
(iii) preferably have additional phenotypic data available:
- Female pathology data dictionary (Mar2022)
- Female family_history_data_dictionary_female (May2019)
- Male family history data dictionary (May2019) male (May2019)
- CIMBA survival and treatment dictionary (Mar2022)
- CIMBA pedigree data dictionary (Feb2022)
(iv) have germline DNA available
