Welcome to the EMBED Study – a study looking for early blood markers for breast cancer detection.
We have developed some very sensitive tests that have the potential to detect very small concentrations of a specific blood-marker (circulating tumour DNA) in the blood of women with early stage breast cancer.
If these tests are able to detect breast cancer in its earliest stages, they could eventually be used in clinical settings, such as doctor’s surgeries and hospital settings, to screen for the disease.
